The summer is coming and it's time to choose a few accessories for the new season that can express yourself and your style. Such an accessories are the sunglasses and since Burberry is one of my favorite brands I decided to show you their proposals for Spring/ Summer 2011. The Burberry Eyewear collection brings association with Britishness, function and innovation drawing inspiration from the brand’s apparel collection. Key elements for the women sunglasses are the square shape and iconic Burberry quilted metal inserts on the temples. The men sunglasses include oversize aviator styles with Burberry check engraved temples. Тhe National Academy for Theatre and Film Arts organizes a 36-hour Marathon of Film and Theatre for all friends of Bulgarian art.  The initiative will be held this weekend, with a start at 10:00 am on the 14th May (Saturday), and the final is expected to be at 22:00 pm on 15th May (Sunday). The place is the well known, National Academy, Address: Rakovski 108A. Free Entrance! The program can be found here, and among the most interesting proposals are: CRIMINAL 2D and The Lady with camellias, the dance performance Eros and Psyche, many portions of short films and other interesting provocations.

With a face looking at the Pacific Ocean, this house is a real dream come true. Innovative methods have been used in both building and furnishing. Longhiarchitects designed the Lefevre Beach House on the edge of a cliff high above the ocean. The place is Punta Misterio in Peru. For me the coolest thing is the natural way in which the house fits into the surrounding atmosphere. The terrain is mostly rocky, and the foundations and part of the interior are made by natural-looking stones. The huge windows and the wide terraces provide spectacular views of the horizon and the infinite ocean. Two-level pool changes the rocky landscape and the interior is dominated by clean shapes and modern elements. I am wondering would you at all go out if you lived in this house?

Yes, this is a computer mouse! It is unusual, and that's the reason I wanted to share it with you because it is the bold concepts which change the world around us. The name of the project is "Fortune", and its author is Atila Rossito. He lives in Brazil and is industrial designer. Fortune mouse reminds of white clip and the empty space in the middle is one really futuristic element. You may be wondering where are all the boards, cables and other elements of the standard mouse. I could not find answer to this question, but I believe that truly innovative concepts rather ask questions than give the answers.

I am sure every photographer will be happy with this bag designed specifically to fit their needs. Urban Quiver is made by photographers and is primarily intended for professionals or passionate amateur photographers. The advantages of this accessory  are related to the oblong shape that is ideal for lenses. Furthermore, this bag is nothing like the standard camera bags and accordingly does not scream, "Tourist" The creators say they wanted to make bags for cameras, which are convenient and do not resemble the old, shapeless bags of the 90s. The young company recently started taking preorders for the first - product-Urban Quiver.

Summer is the season of fun, parties and cocktails. I came across a very interesting squeezer suitable for all citrus fruits. The design is extremely simple and functional, because in just a few seconds juice flows directly into your cup. The built in funnel not only guides the juice into the glass, it also filters out the seeds. Use the rounded side for big oranges or grapefruits and the pointy side for lemons or limes. Any suggestions for refreshing cocktails?

Many people do not like the environment in which we live but few are those who have the courage to change it. I am writing this post because I was inspired by the idea of transformation. "Transformers" is an association that deals with urban problems, architecture and design.The main goal of the association is renovating and socialization public and collective use spaces. The association seeks to impose best practices by implementing joint civic initiatives for improvement of urban living conditions. These enthusiasts find a way instead of looking for an excuse. Their latest project is the cultivation of Shinkov bus stop. In only a few hours the wrapped in layers of posters stop became a "beautiful station"

The new Bentley Continental GT 2012 is already here and quickly won the hearts of the first drivers who had the chance to experience it and enjoy its beauty. Undoubtedly, the characteristics of the car grab the attention – 6.0-liter twin-turbo W12 engine with 575 hp; a top speed of 318 km/h and acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.4 seconds; a 6-speed ZF transmission; and reduced CO2 emissions to 384 g/km. The combined cycle fuel consumption is 16.5 liters per 100 km and the urban cycle can exceed 25 liters. But there is something else more impressive in Bentley Continental GT in 2012 and it is connected to detail. The design changes aren’t a lot but are definitely noticeable –the front fenders and hood, the new headlights with LED, the radiator grille and the trunk, which has a double horse-shoe motif. In the interior as new features come the 8-inch touch screen display, audio system with 11 speakers, DVD and 30 GB memory.

Neighborhood and Quoddy – a company for hand-sewn shoes, collaborated to create two models that bring the spirit of the Spring/ Summer 2011 season. The Trai Moccasin has two versions – black leather and beige suede, and its look makes it suitable for free time activities or a cool spring day. Boat Shoe, in turn, comes in black leather and can be easily combined in an urban look. Both models of the cooperation between Neighborhood and Quoddy feature contrasting stitching on the upper and embossed logo placements. Their release is expected soon.

Crimean Pinecone Lamp is a proof of contemporary design, inspired by nature. This interesting lamp in a cone shape is created by the Russian designer Pavel Eekra. The lamp consists of 56 wooden plates and screws that are fixed without an internal skeleton. Thanks to their rounding shapes, plaques form gaps through which light passes. At the same time the plates themselves are thin and a quantity of soft light goes through them outside and downward goes bright light.

A unique accessory that easily converts from a scarf to a bag and vice versa. Dixon is a square scarf with 4 grommets, and is named after trumpet player, composer and improviser Bill Dixon. The fashion accessory is designed by Symmetry, that I read about here, and uses their hardware system that allows any number of purely individual ways to wear the scarf. Dixon is interesting because it turns into a big bag with two pieces of hardware that you have only to connect to ends of the scarf.

Sofia International Film Festival (SIFF) 2011 ended a few weeks ago ... long live SIFF for Students!  Cinema House (Ekzarh Joseph Str. 37) once again opens its doors to young fans of noncommercial films. The main objective of the initiative is through the movies that are shown to be nurturing a taste for quality independent cinema in young people. Audiences will have the opportunity to meet and talk with the creative staff of some of the films. The next show is tonight at 18:30 and viewers will be able to enjoy the co-production from China, U.S. and South Korea- Wu ji (The Promise).

I recently came across the portfolio of the Belgian graphic designer Maxime Quoilin, who impressed me with a precision typical for exquisite artists. Despite his youth, he is only 23 Maxime Quoilin demonstrates professionalism and desire for continuous improvement. Often playing with shapes and geometry he creates visually stunning pieces – pure, minimalistic and extremely detailed.

Hyphae is a collection of 3D printed artifacts constructed of rhizome-like networks. Inspiration for the designers from Nervous System were the vein structures that carry fluids through organisms from the leaves of plants to human circulatory systems. For the production of the jewelry, they created a simulation, which uses physical growth principles to build sculptural, organic structures. The densely interconnected structure is at once airy and strong. The Hyphae collection contains a range of necklaces, earrings, cuffs, rings and brooches. The main material they are made of is a strong and flexible nylon but can be ordered also in stainless steel and sterling silver.
